OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTING EDUCATOR AWARD

Congratulations on being nominated for TXCPA Outstanding Accounting Educator Award, which recognizes Texas accounting educators who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and have distinguished themselves through active service to the accounting profession. The award gives profession-wide recognition to the recipients along with promoting role models in academe.

The award recipients will be recognized at the Awards Luncheon at the Annual Meeting of Members on June 26, 2025 in Galveston, TX. Recipients will also receive a $500 award, a recognition plaque and complimentary registration to the Accounting Education Conference in September. 

One Outstanding Accounting Educator Award may be awarded in each category (community college, small, medium, and large university or college). Awards will not be given in categories where judges determine that the entries do not merit them.

The Outstanding Accounting Educator Awards are funded by the Accounting Education Foundation to honor those with a history of excellence in education.

  • Nominee must be a full-time accounting educator at a Texas college, university or community college, where for three of the last five years the educator’s primary responsibility has been teaching in the classroom.
  • Nominee is not required to be a licensed CPA.

By submitting materials to complete the nominee profile, you confirm that you are a full-time accounting educator at a Texas college, university, or community college, where for three of the last five years your primary responsibility has been teaching in the classroom. Award winner is not required to be a licensed CPA. All submitted materials will be distributed to the award judges. Awards may not be given in categories where judges determine that the entries do not merit them.
